The devastating effects of US immigration enforcement policies on children, families and communities.
by Luis Argueta97 minsClosed captioning available
On May 12, 2008, 389 undocumented workers were arrested, handcuffed and chained by 900 heavily armed ICE agents at Agriprocessors, Inc., the largest kosher slaughterhouse in the country, in what was then the largest immigration raid in US history. Agents took workers to a fairground converted into a detention/processing center, where nearly 300 were fast-tracked through the legal system in 4 days, convicted, sentenced to five months, and deported -- tearing apart families and a diverse community. First in Argueta's Postville trilogy (followed by Abrazos and The U Turn).
