The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers
An act of conscience that shocked the world.
by Judith Ehrlich1 minsClosed captioning available
Tells the story of Daniel Ellsberg, a leading Pentagon strategist and Vietnam War planner who came to oppose the war and, in 1971, leaked 7,000 pages of top-secret documents - the Pentagon Papers - to the New York Times, revealing the government had long known the war was unwinnable. His daring act of conscience led directly to the Watergate break-in and the eventual end of the war and the fall of the Nixon presidency, in what has been called one of the most significant leaks in American history. Academy Award nominee, Best Documentary Feature.
